ARGROUP LAUNCHES PC BOOT CAMP FOR YOUR COMPUTER

MARCH 2010: Any PC that's been around for a while has lost most of its speed and productivity. But businesses work around that inconvenient fact because they don't have the resources to clean up their hard drives and restore their computers' performance.

That's why ARGroup, computer network experts since 1986, is launching PC Boot Camp, a convenient and affordable program for optimizing PCs and small business networks to restore processing speed and bump up productivity.

"It's a big idea and like all big ideas, it stems from a simple concept," says Tom Simmons, creative director of The Thomas Simmons Agency, which was hired to create advertising concepts for the new program. "Business people rely on their technology every day. They can't send their computers out to repair facilities for weeks at a time and they don't have the expertise in-house. So they live with the problem."

PC Boot Camp provides technical services to optimize computer hard drives for as little as $75 per hour. The rate is a bit higher if the technician comes out to the client's place of business, an option that is also offered.

The campaign will be based around illustrations from clay sculptures by Anne Lukas. "The clay sculptures are very unique and eye catching," says Simmons, "like the California Raisins that everyone loved in the 90s. We wanted a distinctive look because what we're offering is a unique program."
