Of course, this isn't the first time it's been a big idea to think small. The concept comes from the Volkswagen ad campaign that launched the 60's Creative Revolution in advertising. In 2000, "Think Small" topped Ad Age's list of the 100 best campaigns of the 20th century. It's one of the seminal ad campaigns of our era and just one of hundreds we've studied and admired over the years.
A lot of great advertising followed "Think Small." Challenging, smart, imaginative, clever stuff. And a lot of garbage, too. Because while everybody admires the simple elegance of a great campaign not everyone can pull it off.
